Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I'm planning to get a car.. my dream is to own a Skyline R34 but after consideration on the roadtax i wanted to settle for a Nissan S15 Spec R.. Yes it would be a dream come true to own one of these monster.. but after some serious thinking on buying a 2nd hand car without a warranty which would be a hassle later on if there is any problem.. plus R34 & S15 has passed its 10 years of age.. would be hard to get an approval for bank-loan..

Early Feb.. persuaded by my friends, i visited VW showroom and had sat in a Scirocco R.. i had a change of mind.. Well I did had my eyes on scirocco when i first saw them in the magazine.. but it was pricy and i was a bit skeptical with their luggage compartment.. after seeing that Scirocco has a bigger compartment compared to S15 and everything else about the Scirocco just awed me plus not forgetting the 5 years warranty with unlimited mileage, the best choice would be.

I hope i could get some advice from Scirocco owners here.

    Thanks

Any particular reason you aren't looking at a Golf R?
Same power but AWD to aid the power delivery.
    My Tiguan TSI APR Stg2 + RPF1's

My Partner and I, have a Scirocco and the storage is great. As you can fold down the seats and even fit 2 push bikes in.

        Hi team_v,

I agreed with you that golf r would deliver more power.. But scirocco has the edge in looks.. Plus i wanted to get a two door car..

          Hi gtimike,

Great to know there's an ample space after you fold the rear sit down..
