Hmmm. To their credit, VW Aus (Customer Service I assume, could have been legal...) rang this arvo, asking for details and info re disgruntled but not libellous Facebook posts by me. Seemed interested in moving towards resolution. We shall see.

Update. Car back with dealer, interim hire car (same Europcar Passat as before when engine failed, can't complain unless it's a sales job to entice us into a Passat, which could work...) with us, parts on way from Europe. VW CC called the day after I had to call to sort hire car, but at least they called. Dammit, I love driving both the Passat and our Golf, but... (insert feelings of can't be sure in a 15 year ownership framework). We have a VW CC person assigned to me. Have I been too aggressive? Do two 'major failures' (Australian Consumer Affairs definitions - look it up) draw attention? Is VW caring? Time will tell.Last edited by adhock; 20-04-2013, 08:57 PM.
