Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Prospective TDI owner

    Hi Everyone,

    I'm about to buy my first VW and stumbled across this site.

    I live in Melbourne and am looking at buying a TDI Pacific DSG (which I'm assured is being released next month)

    Looking forward to learning from and eventually contributing to the community.

    Is this a MkVI Golf?

    If so, they're a great car, especially on the open road. The only downside is that adaptive damping is no longer available.

    Do you have a link for what goodies VAG are throwing in to form the Pacific package?

          sorry should have made it clearer, it's the Tiguan as per below

          MY13 – Tiguan 103TDI Pacific DSG – White in Colour
          Park Assist 2.0 – Standard
          Front Fog Lights – Standard
          Comfort Package – Standard
          Tow Bar - $2,000.00 incl. installation + GST

          They're offering it for $40K driveaway. What do you think is a fair price?

          The model isn't released until next month but they assure me it's got a DSG box.
