Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC My new MK3 VR6.

After having everything from Vk Commodore, N13 Nissan Pulsar, Vt Calais, 4Gen Subaru Liberty, Nissan Blue Bird and most recently a 3Gen Subaru Liberty RX I have finally gone and bought a Euro. A 94' Mk3 VR6, 147km on the clock, Interior is immaculate and hasn't been modded pretty much at all except for the head unit, amp and rear speakers.

I am going to try and keep my little beast as original and stock as possible. Only plans are replacing the head unit with a new Pioneer one, replacing all speakers with pioneers, lower it a few inches and possibly get a cat-back exhaust. Also fix one dent in the bonnet & replace the plastic PCV pipe with this replacement (Mk3 VR6 PCV Fix) as I have heard it is going to break at some point and cause a head ache. But other than that she is staying nice, clean and stock.

Here's a few pic's of the little beast, let me know what you think:

Yeah I was really surprised. I did notice they had replaced the drivers door, but checked the sills and under the rubbers and no sign of accident repair or touch ups, also the front must have had a collision because it had a new lower bumper mount, but chassis was perfectly straight, tracked perfectly true so all in all was an extremely good repair and or a minor accident.
