I've been stalking for a while, decided to join up. Just ordered my '13 Jetta 147 Highline (with sports pack of course).

Happy to say that the forums played a small part in making the choice (in terms of others views on reliability etc).

Apparently the car is on a boat on the way to Australia - waiting for the dealer to get back to me with a more firm time.

What's the usual wait? The ballpark was "4 Weeks" - but that's dealer speak so I'd expect anywhere between 2-20 weeks.

Depending on where it is.
If you have the vin you can track the car via the internet.

When it docks it usually takes 3-4 weeks for customs and pre-delivery inspections etc then you get to pick it up.
