Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

My first car was a 1976 Golf GLS then a 1996 VR6 then 2004 R32. I blew the engine once with the GLS and then the R32. The VR6 was probably the most reliable of the three. I now need a new Haldex controller for the R32 as ive been in 2wd for the last 12 months! I also have a V8 Touareg which is in need of a stepper motor and two fuel pumps. If i get all this fixed and dont have any more trouble ill probably buy myself a Amorak! What a sucker

    Welcome.
Nice taste in cars you have!
Any more info the R32 and what happened to the motor? There is a mk4 R32 owners thread in the mk4 section if you want to add your cars number to that list
