Hi everybody, just bought a 1999 Volkswagen golf GLE 1.6SR AUTO...

YES, it is so gutless it couldn't even pull the hair out of my arse, but I wanted something good on fuel I could get some major static low on. SLOW AND LOW! I was going to go with D2 or DGR coilovers and a set of 15x8+15 mesh bbs wheels. I just got my door trims redone in the ss ve material, installed a Sony bt headunit, got all the carpets & seats shampooed & installed M3 style taillights & smoked indicators. I am a spray painter, so soon I will colour code my moulds and respray the car in a colour I made called 24K gold pearl, shave the roof aerial and strip all the stone guard from the sills.

Anyway any tips or help for the car would be greatly appreciated, cheers y'all!

    Leroy!

Sounds like your getting stuck in straight away! Good stuff

Wheel size doesn't sound right though. Maybe look into 17's or 18's. 15 is very small for a mk4

          and please no fake wheels

Be interesting to see how the 1.6lt auto goes getting low. Im having problems with the diameter of the drivershaft on my base 2lt manual (currently all thats holding me up)
if you plan on slamming it you will also need to remove or find a tried and tested alternate to the sway bar/end links
