Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC New MY13 Golf GTI Owner!

    Hey All,

    I am new to the forum (obviously) and am also new to the Volkswagen brand!

    Just yesterday I decided to reward my graduation from Uni and also self-gift an early christmas present of a My13 Golf GTI! with the following specs;
    Carbon Grey Metallic
    DSG
    18' Detroit Wheels
    Sunroof

    I am still in awe after the test drive and can't wait to get my hands on my very own!!!
    Looking forward to receiving some good tips on how to run this beast in, and also some tips and tricks about GTI's

    Cheers

    Congratulations on the great buy and welcome to the Forum.

    Don't run it in like a granny IMO. Everyone will have different opinions on how to do it, but I believe if you baby it too much in the beginning when you try to have fun on the back end it'll go wrong.
