Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Welcome Martin, I'd say the most notable Skoda guy is Toddzy running around in his Octavia vRS Wagon. He's done some awesome stuff to it.

        Thanks guys

Yes - I have been reading up on what can be done

I've had the APR ECU update done, puts a smile on the face but need good road to use it from a standing start

I've done the tweeter capacitor modification - certainly an improvement but not a full solution
(Our Mazda 3 SP23 has a bose kit which sounds much better - but then again it has an automatic with a torque converter)

I put a pair of Philips blue vision bulbs into the low beam - nicer than stock

Getting a set of Michelin PS3 tyres tomorrow ( stock size 225/40/18 ) on grey Audi 8" rims ( ET45 - same inside result as stock )
