Hello all,
Bought a Polo GTI 9N3 recently as a second car, daily driver, shopping trolley, and maybe track toy.
Quick background check, I work in an engineering shop as a manager, project lead, machinist, designer etc. Worked in Defence, auto, etc. Working with Solidworks, about to start in SolidCAM, more CNC 2-3-5 axis stuff. Always looking out for an a project, but I'll always buy a well made aftermarket part before making my own.
Got a penchant for fast things, sport bikes, track days, even mountain bikes!
I joined the forum to get a handle on the how's and whys of working on the car, why you've chosen particular parts etc. The normal forum things. I'm about to embark on a rebuild job on the Polo's suspension to be ready for a sneaky track outing.
