Yo crew,

just picked up a 2009 LWB 2.5L 4motion. My first VW

Anyone here know of any good gear to kit her out with.
I'm trying to get my hands on a lift kit but they appear to be rocking horse **** in Oz!
I've called Trakka in NSW but they wont sell me a lift kit

I'm having trouble finding rims to suit the 245/70/R16 Tyres I want to run.

The car will be a surf van and needs to run on the beach and the off road tracks to get there.

Mate if you wanted lift, probably d have gone with an Amarok with canopy but the T5 is bloody good at what it does

Search the net in Europe, nobody does lifted suspension for the T5 here so in its home stomping ground would be your best bet to search an with the high Aussie dollar vs the euro, you can't go wrong

Threads are the raised sprigs for front and back, the hd shocks and I think hd struts as well, which should give you a bit of lift.

Hey Transporter Ive been doing lots of rearching particulary old threads about the NSW ambos and even sent emails to Hearsmans with no luck. Trakka have been plain rude to me. Seikel sent me back to Trakka

Seikel or the Mob in south africa look like my only option.

If i'd realised how much of a pain this is turning into i might have bought the Hilux i was looking at!

Springs can ge sourced easily, but getting the longer shocks seems to be the real issue.
I know Koni, Bilstein and Monroe have made or make them but i've been unable to source them!

I wonder how heavy a full lift kit is and if I can stuff it in my surfboard bad when i come home from a holiday to South Africa early next year.
