Hello fellow VW fans, glad to join the forums. I first fell in love with Volkswagen's fantastic diesels in what else but a Mark V Golf.
Didn't mean to, in fact I was on the way to a Honda dealership when I saw Penrith's Volkswagen yard and thought I might as well stop and take a quick look. As fate would have it, they only had a Golf Comfortline TDI DSG for test drive (I wouldn't have picked the diesel to test drive if they had a petrol available) and while sceptical at first, after driving a few twisty bends round a mountain, I was sold. Such fun to drive!
It's given me years of driving pleasure, especially when passing those petrol family sedans on hills, but the time has come to put the Golf out to pasture in favour of the all grown up CC. While I have a few months before my factory order makes it to these shores, I'm sure my excitement will sustain me, and I'm prepared to wait for those Active Climate seats - perfect for Australian weather.
