  • Non Aus UK Corrado owner thinking of bringing one over?!

    Hi fellow Dubbers down under!

I'm currently making plans to do some travelling around Aus for a few months or more and a mate who recently moved over there recommended bringing my Rado over. Does anyone have any experience of bringing a car over or could anyone let me know what it might be worth if I did (I'd sell the car when I move on to travel through Asia). I was planning to sell it before I left the UK because I can't leave it on the drive under a cover, uninsured and rusting in the English winter rain...

The car is a Dragon Green VR6 with full cream leather. Drives like a dream

Any advice or info would be appreciated!!!

    Simon.

There are less than about a dozen corrado's in Oz, so when they do come up they generally do fetch a pretty penny.

being VR, complete and in really good condition (no missing/broken trims etc) it could definately be worth while bringing!

From memory, if you are travelling, not emigrating, then you'll have to get a carnet. Similar to when you drive through the eu, it means you can't sell it basically.

That was my understanding of the rules when I read through them to bring my Gti out.
