Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hi guys,

    First time VW owner checking in, picked up a 2010 Golf GTI MkVI a couple of days ago, loving it so far but keen to hear any hints or tips I might be missing with it!

    2010 Golf GTI MkVI
    Bi-Xenons
    Sat Nav (Does anyone know how much are the latest maps?)
    Golf R tails
    Reversing camera

    Its due for its 45k service shortly, I'm in Brisbane and I've heard some horror stories about Austral VW so based on the information here I was thinking of trying Mike at prestige & performance. I have to admit I'm a little nervous about not going with a dealer for serving based mostly on the warranty aspect.

    I use Mike and have never had a problem with his work.
