Hello all, been a lurker for a while but thought it was about time I register on the forum and introduce myself.

I pick up my silver 5 door Polo GTI tomorrow so I'm pretty excited
I'm new to VW's; I've been more of a Jap import car guy but with rising petrol prices and increased attention on import "hoons" I figured it was time to go for a more sensible option and the GTI fitted the bill nicely.

Coming from a modified Toyota Chaser, it's going to be a big change for me having such a small car and big drop in power but I'm hoping the nimble handling will make up for it through the hills

My Chaser is still for sale so if you know anyone looking for one, drop me a line!

Anyway, look forward to meeting the locals soon.
