  • Advice on buying my first VW? Jetta with 200,000kms on the clock?!

    Hey Guys!

I'm currently looking for my first car and I'm wanting it to be a VW. I've done some searching on the net and have found one that seems like the car, I'm just worried that it has over 200,000kms on the clock and it only being a 2008 model?

I don't want to be putting my savings into a car that has had it's time. Their other ones online which are around the $12000 mark and are at least 50,000km less.

What would you suggest to this newbie?

The car in question is this one:

DSG and TDI > 200k's = not so good in the long run.

If you do buy it, make sure you buy aftermarket warranty as any issues with the DSG and you won't have to pay massive $$$$ to fix likewise with TDI injectors (if this model had the injector problem).

Seriously dude, save a bit more and but a lower k one with warranty.

      Its very cheap for a 2008 Jetta,but 210 000 km os a lot for a 4 year old car.

The TDI engine will last many more miles, and it looks very good.
Its in the best colour as well...
Take it for a drive, and get a mechanic to check it out as well.

Good luck, let is know how it goes...
