Hi all,

My name is Stephen and I am from WA. I have just got my first ever VW and I must say its amazing.

I picked up a MY09 Golf GTI - Pirelli Edition. Amazing little car, extremely comfortable, nice features, very zippy and with what I have been reading about the APR Stage 1 tune mod I can see brilliant things for this car in the future.

Here are some quick snaps, I will update with an interior shot tonight however I am sure most people are aware of what it is.

I look forward to reading the forums, talking to people and learning about VW and my GTI.

the APR (or any other) will only make a good car better - well worth the money.

theres a day of Volkswagen coming up in a few weeks, why not consider tagging along and meeting some of the locals

Awesome, I will look into it.

As for the APR I need to look into insurance/warranty etc first as I am sure it will void things(Also need to look into whether they will actually be able to tell :]).

I wonder if this is Martin's old car (tinto). He sold up recently but I'm not sure if he put the stock wheels back on. His was already tuned, but maybe he had it removed. The tunes on the mk5s etc can be put into a 'valet' mode whereby the dealers won't see them and/or can't thrash the car to bits while it's being serviced. Hope that helps

A Mk5 is likely to be coming out of warranty pretty soon anyway, your best bet would be to call Quattro Motors. If it's been tuned by them they'll have all the details
