Last week I saved a mk2 from the scrap metal yard here in Alaska. This is my first mk2 but my second v-dub, the last was a rusty mk1 diesel I bought and sold. This one is a 1990 golf wolfsburg but when I was driving it home the engine blew some how. Now I'm in the process of replacing it with another 1.8l 8v but I plan on upgrading after I leave the state of Alaska. There's not much of a VW scene up here. Anyone willing to share some knowledge on how to do an engine swap, it would be greatly appreciated.
