Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Interesting. How much did the plastidip cost you for the wheels?

Also investing in a downpipe would be a lot more worthwhile than a catback.

it was 125 for 2 wheels, it was kinda experimental at first but it really grew on me!

what difference would the downpipe make in comparison to a cat-back?

For starters a downpipe would actually increase performance and response. If you want more noise from your cat back you could just do a muffler delete, or perhaps consider new cat back after you have a downpipe and a tune so you're not just making pointless noise.

oh awesome, i'll definitely have a look at the downpipe option in that case. haha yeah i would like to do a muffler delete but i think the cops would be on me permanently
