Hi All,
While I have had a Passat for a while I am new to the forum.
I started with a brand new white TS in 1975, absolutely loved the car so under rated at the time. Traded my 73 1300 beetle for it.
Had to sell it to pay for my honeymoon.
About 15 years ago while restoring my daily driver I decided to buy a Passat as a run around car and found a yellow 1974 TS. I used it as a daily driver, then my Daughter learned to drive in it and used it as her daily. I eventually started to restore it and it’s now cyber green with widened standard chrome wheels and I think it looks terrific. I have a 5 speed box to go in as an upgrade, it really does need more than 4 gears.
I particularly like the two door twin headlight models and when I learnt about a 77 GLS (hatchback) for sale through the Bendigo Club I couldn’t help myself.
I wanted to do a quick freshen up on this one (heard those words before), and now two years later I am close to finishing. This one is Evoke (dark grey metallic a Holden Calais colour) with blue interior.
Hope to show them both at the B1 display at this year’s DOVW.
Regards,
John
