Hey all,

Name is Steve, just bought myself a Trendline Amarok
Volkswagen trained mechanic @ DVG Volkswagen Melville.
this is my 5th Yr working on Volkswagen and i love the car.

just traded in my VW Caddy for the Amarok (loved that little 1.9L TDI engine)
slowly getting the Rok to where i want her for going out 4x4ing

I actually have Christian - "Phantomcamel" to thank for this beautiful beast.
When i started working at DVG Melville Volkswagen we chatted about it for ages. He went to test out the new 8spd auto for the launch.
When he came back he praised it very much, so being a cheeky bastard i asked if i could borrow one over the weekend. surprisingly he let me obviously under the conditions "you break it, you bought it" took it for a tame wrap in a local 4x4 area.
After driving the auto and putting it through it's paces, i was seriously conflicted. He let me take a 6spd manual out a few weekends later and i was sold.
Within a week i had my Amarok.

I did a quick radio swap from my caddy so the Amarok has a RCD510
Christian hooked me up with a fantastic B/tooth system - non gen (Kufatec Fiscon) completely integrated into the touch screen RCD510
Spray on tub liner from xtreme coatings.
Genuine Tow bar is on order just waiting for the damn truck to come with our stock
and finally a very illusive set of Black sports bars, these were hard to track down barely any stock left in oz apparently.

i've spent all day today just looking at lift kits and i'm pretty much sold on SEIKEL SEIKEL VW Amarok: VW Auto Seikel GmbH mostly because this company is partnered with Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge (commercial vehicles). Volkswagen actually supply a Letter of no objection so with this company's parts your warranty is not made VOID (i think we all like the sound of that) although i think the lift alone is going to hurt my back pocket but in the long run i think it'll be worth it.
