Hey Guys,

Just joined up. I currently have a 1999 Golf which i was looking to sell for a Mk1 Golf of some kind. Looking around the buy and sell there seems to be a few that come up for sale which is great. I really enjoy driving my 1999 Golf but i want the Mk1 as a bit of a project car.
Any help anyone can offer would be great on what is good/bad about Mk1 and also what to look for.

Welcome! I did have a MK1 and wished I had never sold it! I am sure you will find lots of info on here about what to look out for. I dont know where you are located in Tas but over in Sorell, there is a nice looking MK1. It is on gumtree.
