I am currently driving an BF XR6 turbo until I pick up by MY12.5 Polo GTI which hopefully should be Friday afternoon.

When I go over the car is there anything specific I should look for?

Yeah , welcome Rob ... check that all agreed items with your salesperson is evident, correct spelling of your personal details, open the bonnet and boot and have the salesperson run you thru the checklist that you'll be asked to sign. And of course, a full tank of fuel. 95RON or better.
