Hi all
I'm not new to the forum, but I've forgotten my old username since I haven't been on for a while. I think hubby logs in as Broady, but can't remember either
You'll probably remember us from being on the Gold Coast, and we joined a few breakfast runs in our MK5 GTi (the one with the Bugs Bunny personalised plates).
Anyway, we've since moved to Sydney, and are now looking for a reputable VW place to service the car. We used to go to V&A Garage on the Gold Coast, and found them pretty good. But the problem we've had for about a year now is that the engine light keeps coming on. VW stealership, and V&A both told us that it's to do with the exhaust temperature after it rains (as that's generally when the light comes on). But since we're in Sydney and it's much colder here, we've noticed the light coming on a lot more often.
Any advice or knowledge about this? Or can you suggest a good mechanic with VAG that I can take the car to?
Thanks in advance
Sands
