For three years I owned a 1.9 Manual Diesel T5 used as a courier van. This vehicle was my first foray into the Volkswagen family. At that time, the van of choice was the HiAce. I opted to go against this trend because I felt the T5 has a better driving postion, safety and more importantly a rear barn door. I did one mod though, mufflerectomy, I had this done to squeeze some low-end torque and free up the turbo. I preferred the driving position of the T5 over the HiAce. I also liked the standard heated mirrors as well as auto windows for both driver and passenger sides. That was 2010.
Today, 2012, am back in the Volks team with a spanking new 132 Pacific, Manual Tiguan. Took me a month of late night web-watching, to decide which CUV to buy. Then, last month; the family took home, Tiggy. Despite still running-in the 2.0 TSI. I have already done two changes... please don't ask why? - a pair of X-Treme
Visions and an up-size of rubber to 235/60x16s.
.... still more to come ...
trouble is am having difficulty looking for suppliers for speed demons
like myself in Perth, WA ....
any suggestions from you folks
cheers ....
