VIC Hello from Ireland (again)

Hello all,

Signed up over a year ago when I had planned on moving to melbourne but never did. Moving in less than three weeks so thought I'd reintroduce myself.

My name is Eoghan and I drive a 1990 Mk2 Golf GL. I'll be parking it up while I'm away with the intention on having a few bits and pieces done - respray in original Helios Blue with all new trim, air ride and possibly a PD130/150 diesel conversion.

Here's a few pictures of how the car stands at the minute.





It's rough around the edges but it's a rare car over here and has low mileage so I couldn't let it end up in the scrapper.


My last car was a 1994 Vento (Jetta).








Looking forward to getting to know the Australian scene and hopefully being able to contribute in some way.

welcome mate!

pre mk5 we only got certain models, so none of the mk4 diesel's, only some of the mk3 variants (no GTI's only VR6 and GL, CL), and the only mk2's we got were asthmatic Aussie delivered 8v's in 4 door only.

So if you want any cool engine conversions I'd load a container with parts and bring it on over
