Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD Hello

    Hi

My name is Emelia (if you couldn't tell from my obvious username). I drive a peugeot 206 gti and i was introduced to this forum by my boyfriend. Since I find myself at most of the euro meets i thought i might join up.

    Welcome to the forum.
Would be good to have some more french cars to keep Rhys and James company at some of our events.

Yes it is, I fell in love with it straight after I bought it. A lot faster than I expected. I think it works the opposite for me, every time mine is in the shop I take over Dan's Bora (Brisbane's Bora), I guess I get the best of both worlds!

Thanks I will definitely be around when I'm not in Dan's Bora.

No, this particular one is probably seen more around South Brisbane and Springwood...and at my work in Milton. There are a few base models I see around, most of them a sad sight. I think mine is fairly recognisable with the bent number plate which i'm looking at replacing with euro ones soon.

Good friend of mine had one of these a few years ago and it was heaps of fun. Cornered like it was on rails...pedals were a bit too close together for me, but I suppose most girls prefer that.

Cool car, welcome to the forum.

Cheers, Yes they are close together! I found out the hard way on my way home from the gym with my running shoes, hit the clutch and the brake came with. It's definitely a good feature for girls.

                      No worries.
The Fairfield one has a bent numberplate and is on P's too.
