Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    ACT Hi all

    Hi all,

    Been a long time VW fan and have personally owned 2 - a 2008 Red Polo GTI (2008 - 2010) and after getting frustrated with the lack of doors and space more recently I have a 2010 Candy White Golf GTI (leather, RCD510 and MDI)

    After 2 years of very happy ownership, I have just started investigating options for functionality improvements and so have been investigating options for adding bluetooth and RNS510 to the mix. Both are ordered and on the way and now I am going to start annoying memebers with endless questions about installing and assistance in coding and getting access to a VCDS cable.

    Next cabs of the rank will be LED taillights and Bixenon's, but they will have to wait until my bank balance has recovered.

      Thanks Jase,

      Bit nervous about the install, never messed around with a 'new' car before or done any VCDS programming. If anyone has any experience, tips or advice or even access to a VCDS cable, I'd appreciate the help!

        I completely understand. I had installed sway bars, downpipe, reflash, engine mount within the first three weeks. I would be interested to see how you go with the tail lights, I would like it done to mine, just not confident enough myself to do it! I am about to put in the ANS-810, it should arrive tomorrow hopefully!
