I have had my MK4 golf GTI for about 1 1/2 years now and had a crash this morning
If anyone in Hobart or Tassie has some parts for sale (preferably metallic silver) could they let me know? I am needing LHS guard, grill, bumper and bonnet.

Yes could have been - I live on the western shore but do head over there a bit! Don't know that I've seen you though...
Hopefully it won't be sitting behind work for much longer - just need some parts!

only had the GTI for 2 weeks now. Before that i had a Grey MY08 liberty GT-B.

Wow! How long did you have to wait for it? My brother ordered a red 3 door in February 2011 and it wasnt going to be here until at least June 2012! He cancelled it and bought a Golf Bluemotion instead.

i waited about 6 weeks for this one. i tried to get one at the end of last year but the wait was 12 months. i went past in june and noticed a black one in there so i droped in. after some negotiations they swaped a red one going to launceston for a white one going to NSW on the same boat. it has no options. only thing i wanted was white and bixenons but i wasnt going to wait 12 months just for xenons. i rarely drive at night any way.

I get my car back tomorrow!!! 13 days later...! The friday before I crashed it, I had a Stage 1 APR tune done so I might get some time to finally try it out!!!

Well...got my car back yesterday...finally! The damage costed AAMI $4200!

I thought I should update you on the issues I have been having with my rego plates. I have had my standard B74YV ever since I purchased the car and about 4 weeks ago decided to order some Euro plates (TVW002). They came within a week and I took my old ones to servicetas.

As of last week, my new label hadnt come to say I had changed plates so I went into servicetas again to see what was happening. They only had my old plates on the system and the new ones didnt come up. After about 20 mins and a few phone calls, the lady informed me that somebody else had plates with that number also and that tasplates were supposed to contact me weeks ago regarding this. Servicetas then took my plates and issues me some standard ones (once again).

The following day, I received an email from tasplates saying they were terribly sorry and they were issuing me a 50% refund and new Euro plates with any number I wished!!!!! Hopefully these should come next week.

So, the number plates I will have been through in the last 4 weeks are:

B74YV
TVW002
C35RY
and next week it will be TVW201
