Hi one and all -
My name is John and recently I bought an 07 Mk5 GTI with DSG and about 80K on the clock, my first Euro car, and I'm loving getting to know it and of course am rapt with the way it drives.
I've read a lot of posts on this site in the past month or so and it is a great mine of info as I look to make a few mods to the car.
Previous cars go back to an original '86 Corolla TwinCam, followed by a '91 model and then a '95 Astina SP. A string of company sedans followed before I bought an '03 Calais V8. Then, as some of you would understand, my kids got their own licences/cars so I finally got into some nice 2-door rides ... a 300ZX and then a manual 5.7L Monaro, both of which were moded to suit budget and taste.
I'm time-poor but occasionally hope to get involved in this community in Melbourne via some drive days or meetings.
