QLD Awaiting the elusive R

Hi all! Started reading here after watching Frazza's YouTube post of his R running in the hills near my house. After reading here for a week, I ordered myself an R. Current drive is a Golf 118 TDI. I have had a great deal of trouble ordering the R that I wanted, and it's 4 weeks now until delivery. I doubt the delivered car will be the same as what I have ordered, but I have kept a detail log of emails/text/phone calls with my dealer.... Just in case it gets messy.

I will have lots of questions to ask when my ride finally gets here.

Great work on all the effort that goes into this site by owners/dealers/tuners etc.

Thanks V. I am not really a 'car enthusiast' and know very little about drive days or stuff under the bonnet. I do enjoy reading all the great posts here, an the inspiring work people do to make their daily rides unique. I suspect at some stage I will venture down the line of a tune of some sort (and will seek advice no doubt).
I am very interested in sorting out a garage door opener/hatch opener as a first modification.
With 4 weeks to go before delivery I have a chance to do more reading and might even give a simple upgrade a go myself.

I am happy to exchange any car advice for my excellent knowledge of beer and wine (gained via years of trial and error).

Once I get my R delivered, I will likely get excited and ask about drive days
