Hello: I am giving my teenager my car, so I need another car. I am leaning toward a Jetta or Passat TDI, so I'm trying to learn everything I can about them so my decision will be an informed one.

I hope to learn enough to eventually be a valuable member of your forum.

interesting choice you have to make - unfortunately our market has different model Jettas and Passats, saying that though, go with whats best suitable for your costs etc etc.

btw i would buy the Passat (smile)

Also, Australia, like Europe, has a thing for hatchbacks. Not many Aussies are aware that the best selling VW in the US is the Jetta! In here it's the Golf!
