Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Just dropping by to say hi!

    Hi ppl,

Just thought I'd sign up for these forums - I've always had a soft spot for VW's and having just sold my previous ride (see below) I'm now considering whether I should jump into VW's next as the next platform / project (thinking Mk3 Golf for some reason).

Quite used to the lowered scene ... I guess I've been very lucky and never been pulled over by the policemen for bring too low (can't claim to be slammed) or having the usual stretched tyres over deep dish rims.

Just a few pics of my previous rides - you'd think I'd be sick scrapping in and out of my driveway by now ... LOL3

Oh yes - and I'm been known to do the odd $50 roller paintjob or two ... my MX5 had 2 incarnations - first blue and then yellow.

I did own a Yaris too at a point:

As well as a $800 micra:

And along the way were a few EP71 + EP82 Starlets, an Echo and an AE86. Only car which was European was a Series 5 E34 BMW. Lots of sensors and big gulper of fuel but great for the highways when it behaved.

    Peace!
