Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • First time VW owner - Colour concepts VR6

Hi all, My name's Elias and I'm now he owner of a 95 colour concepts Golf VR6 (green)

It has near 300 000 kms on it but I go it for a beyond dirt cheap price so I'm prepared to put some work into it. I have already put new brake rotors and pads all round,

I'm new to the vw scene, but not at all to the car scene. I have played a fair bit with friends drift cars, and built an engine swapped civic (I know :S) so I know my way around a car pretty well. I ride bmx in my spare time and I'm a fitter and turner (specialising in CNC) for a job. I don't really have many plans for this car as yet but knowing me it will snowball soon. I plan to drive it daily.

This forum doesn't seem to have an attachments function so I'm going to have to get an account on photobucket to upload some pics. I also have a video of it on idle it seems kind of rough at the moment and I would like someone who's owned one before to have some input ... or is a question like that more appropriate on the mk3 forum?
