Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

My first post. Just had a disappointing day after getting my 2006 GTI serviced. I had an issue where my thermo fan seems to run all the time even where the car is running at correct temp. After having the car all day for service I arrived at 4 pm only to be told I will have to bring the car back again. Replacing the sensor didn't fix the problem. This
Is is the second time this has happend in 3 years. Other than that I love the car and it's been perfect.

If the fan runs all the time, one of them may not be working, can you identify which fan is running all the time, generally it would be the smaller secondary fan which means the main fan has stopped. In our case with the MK V Jetta the fan had to be replaced.

Hope you get it sorted, don't drive it too long like that though as it may get a little hot - lucky it's winter at the moment.

        Btw Welcome.
