Hello,
I own a 2008 Passat 125kw Diesel Wagon. I love my car and hate it at the same time (more love than hate).
We had only driven 35,000km since buying new when our car died due to the infamous diesel injector fault in this model. Fortunately the warrantee on the injectors was 7 years so expense to us was minimal.
I mentioned I love and hate my Passat so to clarify:
Hate:
That I am now sceptical about it's reliability following the diesel injector fiasco. Feel unsure when driving it long distances despite the injectors being the only issue we have had.
Want a tow bar but can't believe VW want $1,600 (we should have checked this before we bought it). My 2010 Commodore work vehicle (that I no longer have) cost $450 for a tow bar.
