  • VIC Batman's R36

I bet that got your attention. Unfortunately it isn't Batman's R36, despite the thread title. It is too damn white for one.

I picked this up as a trade in at work, and I couldn't be happier. Not a week earlier I was bitching about never getting any decent trade ins to buy when this immaculate example turned up. It is seriously stunning, and I got it retardedly cheap. My 3 MPS has served me well, and to be honest I am reluctant to let it go, but I have always craved a wagon. In the R36 I have arguably the best looking wagon out there (Now that Subaru have hit the Liberty with an ugly stick any way!).

Sorry for the horrible phone pic, I haven't had a chance to get a better one yet. My car is a 2010 with 46k km on it. I don't do too many km myself, so I hope after 3 or 4 years the km will be considered fairly low.

My initial impressions of the R36 are positive. It feels lovely to sit in, the build quality is VW excellent and the 3.6 sounds sensational. I do miss the manic kick-up-the-arse 380nm of torque from the 3MPS, but the R36 is more practical, sounds amazing, is AWD and looks the business.

Sorry about the horible phone pic, I have yet to take any photos with a normal camera. Should give you a decent idea though. Just imagine a showroom condition 2 year old MY10 (Jan build) R36 wagon, and it should complete the picture.

My only dissapointment is the lack of tuning options. The DSG seems to be a bottle neck that anyone searching for a power upgrade will hit before they even start looking.
