  • VIC Hi!

This feels a little self indulgent but here we go!

I'm a Senior Sales Consultant at a Melbourne VW Dealership.
Hey, I've probably sold a number of members on here a car!

After a string of Audis I've ordered a Passat 125TDI Wagon in wait for it, Tornado Red! Yeah I know, who knew?!
    Hopefully get it next week.

Specs are Sunroof, Driver Assist and Visibility Pack, Park Assist, Child Booster Seats, Nav, Reverse Camera and I'll be putting a set of 19" VMR Matte Black V710 Wheels on it. Should look pretty nice.

Short term future plans are power upgrade module (allegedly 153kW and 427Nm), premium (colour) R style instrument cluster, LED interior lights, HID foggies and whatever else I decide is a justifyable waste of money!

    Anway, that's my spiel!
Feel free to contact me if anyone is chasing specific VW information.
    Cheers.

Welcome mate. The Passat sounds fantastic, especially in TR with black V710s.

If you'd like to get yourself dealer rep status on the forum, just PM myself or any of the other mods and we'll get it sorted.

You might be the best person to ask then.... what's involved in "coding" the colour MFD when retro-fitted? There was a thread about it somewhere but all we found out was that it's not a VCDS thing and requires dealer involvement because of the odometer.

      And of course Welcome
Some say he was the Stig... all we know is that he drives a VW Transporter.

        Thanks guys.
I'm not 100% yet what's required for the cluster recode. The car and cluster will be here by next week so as soon as I know I'll let you guys know. I'd say it should be relatively straightforward but I'm not the VAS expert! My VAS guru in the workshop will earn himself a few slabs in the process no doubt! Generally odometers can only be coded using manufacturer supplied diagnostic machines and can only be coded once.
I'll do a post with results.

AdamD- I'm not really here for any promotional purposes so I'll stay as a "normal person" for now but thanks for the offer!
