Ive been dropping in on the VWWC site for a while now... thought id better get myself registered so I can participate.
My introduction to the world of Veedubs was many years ago with my first car.. a 71' Beetle. I progressed to an orange 76 Mk1 Golf a few years later and was absolutely hooked on VW's. Due to 'financial' issues I had to sell the Golf and bought a cheap Manx buggy in the middle of an Adelaide winter. Had some fun with that little buggy offroad and got me interested in 4WD's.
For a few years I was VW-less and got into the Jeep thing. Ive had a few Jeeps now and spent a *****load on mods for them but currently have a pretty much stock standard TD Jeep Wrangler. Great car, very capable offroad and reasonably economical for the size of the bus.
Also have my toy.. a 69 Manx buggy. It was a project build up with a mate of mine and has been completed for a few years now.
After loosing my job recently, im thinking the Jeep will need to go. Im really keen to get a TDI Caddy (second hand jobbie).... so will be hitting you guys up for some info / help.
Cheers,
Rupert
