Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hi all watercooled dak dak land - owner of new Tiguan 103GTI

    Hi all,

    I took ownership of a Tiguan 103TDi last Friday. Our Tiguan is Candy White with the following additions
    - Comfort Package
    - RNS510 with Sat Nav
    - Park Assist
    - Sunroof
    - Tow bar

    I actually stumbled on this forum when searching for known issues about the Tiguan when researching what car to buy. I waited till I took delivery before intending to join up though and re-discovered the site last night when searching for information about mechatronics problems. Sadly our ride lasted less than a day before it broke down and it is now back with VW whilst they try to sort out what is wrong with the car.

    Well I've owned the Tiguan for 24 days now and it has been back at the dealer's for 19 of those days. Seems the car has fatal mechatronix issues and VW can't seem to deliver a new one. Hopefully all will be well once the car has the new unit installed.

      That's a real bad luck!
      I hope when they fix it you have only smooth ride from then. What car did they give you to drive in the meantime?

        Congratulations on buying the new car, they look great in white =). Bad luck with the faults though, hope it works out for you. All the best =)
