I asked the owner to send me a whole stack of good photos etc, especially of the leather seats etc. Once I was satisfied with that, I had him deliver it to my choice of Audi (non-dealer) specialist and got him to go over it with a fine tooth comb. got a report back covering the usual stuff, but also asked for opinion on panel damage/repair. condition of leather, carpets, dash controls etc, but also life left on brakes, clutch etc. costs about $200, but well worth it.
