Hi all, this is my first post. Owner of an 09 Tiguan 2.0 petrol with all the bells and whistles. My problem is next month my 3 year warranty expires and like "Bayman" I am looking for advice on which of the extended warranties is the way to go. I am pretty certain that the Allianz 36 mth?100,000 km Bumper to Bumper for around $1,400 from Leaseworks is my best choice. Just wondering if anyone has any better suggestions. I agree with Bayman that RACV roadside care is better value than the VW equivalent. Look forward to hearing from anyone who any suggestions on Extended Warrantys. Cheers, Jeff.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I dont know huge amount about extended warranty, but one thing to consider regarding roadside assist is VW assist tow you to the nearest VW dealer. Most RACV levels of cover only tow the first 100km, you have to pay the rest yourself. Its fine if you live in metro melbourne but if you ever head down my direction (gippsland lakes) you can very quickly be more than 100km from a dealer.MY13 Golf R - Rising Blue ** SOLD** New toy wanted
