I've had a 2006 VW Passat V6 as the family car for the last 3 years and I recently traded in my Mazda SP23 (my daily driver) for a MkV 2006 Golf GTI because I love cars and driving and wanted something that I would really enjoy owning. The Mazda was a good, solid reliable car but it didn't make me want to drive it - unlike the GTI which I love driving.
I came across this forum after doing a bit of research on a couple issues I had with the GTI and the information on the forum has been very useful.
