To be honest, I blame this forum for the new Octavia VRS DSG wagon that's sitting in my driveway.
My wife and I have both yearned for a golf GTI for years but have been unable to justify the cost of it when we already had a newish Holden Astra and hve been sinking pretty much all our cash into renovating houses.
With the birth of our first child 3 months ago and the boot of the Astra heaving with the ever increasing amount of crap that babies seem to accumulate the dream of the Golf was drifting into a distant memory.
That was until I discovered the Octavia. Sensible family wagon.... Check.
Justified and purchased.
