Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Just bought MK4 2.0l

    Hi all,

Just bought myself a 2003 Mk4 Golf SE 2.0l Manual in Blue, has 113,000kms on the clock.

This is my second car, decided to downsize from my 1997 Fairmont, had for almost 5 years so a massive change. Plenty of questions ahead!

    Cheers

welcome! if looked after, the 2lt manual mk4s are pretty much bullet proof.
Any plans for it or going to keep standard?

      Thanks

In terms of mods probably nothing too major.. Currently got my eye out for some nice 18" wheels.. and just ordered some H&R 35mm springs to lower it a touch!

BUT.. Need to do the timing belt/water pump at next service so first things first unfortunately!

nice. the right set of wheels and a bit of lowering will clean the car up big time.
