My turn now ?
Sure. Got a 2000-model California Coach syncro, the good old VW CC in other words. Nothing new in VW making another CC since that reuse names all the time ("Caravelle" is not unique to VW, there were boats and planes named that and even french Renault made a car named so...).
So I got a syncro, on my T4. What more ? Well, I just put on BF/G All Terrains on it to make it look usable and not just lame ass asphault worthy, so now I try to educate myself on rizing the car a bit, how to fit a winch with least possible amount of fuzz and if possible - to get inspiration from other T4-owners around the world.
Since I live in Norway and Germany is just some hours down the road, and the cars been put together there, I tend to browse a coupla German forums but I cannot speak much of German - other than enough to get a sour frawn from the ladies and a fist to my nose from the local heroes. So I have expanded my browsing, now I am registered at a Spanish forum too and obviously here too.
So, prove to me you have more than the small useless cars in Australia and show me what I can do with my rig.
Oh, forgot - plans for the CC is to tour Europe this Sept/Oct, there's a team from some nations doing what is called the Bullietour 2012 from south of Germany thru the Balcans (hmphr) and to Istanbul in Turkey, but that's not much more than a stopover coz the trip continues east on the Asian side og the Bospurous strait and I am one of those to do that tour.
Kinda looking forward to it too, no supprise there.
Me ? Working man, father of a girl at 3, separated going to be divorced and both me and the Bosslady are at ease with that (should have been done ages ago). Just finishing off my job, looking for a new one and have no clue what I wanna work with - love using a chainsaw in the woods, got allergies - love sitting at a computer punching numbers, got an old soldiers body that just h.a.t.e sitting still for more than two or three hours at the time so I really dunno what I am to apply for to get an income.
If I could, I would fiddle with sumthin that made me save up spare time thru the year and then use like four months at the time to just drive around looking at places.
Iceland, if there's any money for it next years summer - I'm there. Marocco ? Same there. And so it goes, and so it goes.
OK, nuff said.
all the best,
Yngve of Oslo
