Hi All,
I am John, I live in Sydney and own a VW Golf Mark 5. I would like to be a part of this forum community to share my pains when performing repairs and also to impart my knowledge where possible to help other car owners.
I look forward to having a chat with you sometime soon.
I do have a question for you. I am looking at replacing the original RCD 300 audio unit as it cannot play MP3s and also sometimes does not eject CDs. I was thinking of installing an RCD510 which I can buy from my local Barloworld for $500 (freshly removed from a Toureq and resold) or I can buy an aftermarket system which looks similar but offers more features. My only concern with the RCD510 is that it does not offer inbuilt bluetooth, whereas I can buy an integrated blutooth, TV tuner, radio, DVD player all in one for $550.
What are your thoughts on the after market models? I really do not want to spend time wiring in a bluetooth kit as this is a pain and rather expensive.
I look forward to hearing from you.
John
