Hi, I have a 2008 diesel passat. Have been very happy with the car so far, however on Tuesday car would not start.
It turns out that one of the injectors (Siemens) had shorted and vehicle was only running on 3 cylinders. Have had the car towed back to the dealer for repair as I had taken out extended warranty in July 2011 (the date my original warranty expired). The dealer now tells me that I may not be able to go through my extended warranty as Volkswagon has a goodwill callback on my particular injectors. What this means to me is that the towing and hire car fees that I thought was covered by my extended warranty is not available to me as Volkswagon will take responsibility for the repairs and not the extended warranty insurance. This all means that I am out of pocket considerably even though I have extended warranty. Has anyone else had this same problem.
