What to check for when buying 2nd hand MKIV

I'm looking at buying a 2nd hand 2010 MKVI from a private seller.
Are there anythings I should look out for when buying 2nd hand? Any sort of check list?

Any guidance or advice is greatly appreciated.

Guess you mean a Mk6 (MkVI), not a Mk4 (MkIV), if you're referring to a 2010 Golf?
