Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hi everyone, I have owned a 2003 Golf GTi (Silver) for four years, I really like it,its a hoot to drive, its in pretty good nick, but Ive decided to keep it and not upgrade. I am in Wallan, which has lots of open road, windy country road driving, so will be looking for advice on how to get more fun out of the ride. Its getting to that age when things are starting to wear out and are going to need replacing so while I am at it, I can update the look. I was going to keep it completely stock standard, but some of the stuff that you guys are doing is great. Maybe start with a good tune, theres a bit of a lag at the top of 2nd gear when I am pushing it hard, which is a bit disconcerting.......
